Bus Driver, Hersel (greeting card)
Bus Driver, Hersel | 5”x 7” | Greeting Card
In appreciation for the many blue collar workers who provide valuable services in our local communities, I did a series of six large Blue Collar Worker paintings.
In exhibition, when these paintings were hung, we raised them a bit higher on the wall than is typical. This gave viewers an additional opportunity to ‘look up to’ all blue collar workers who do so much for each of us.
One of the subjects in this series is Hersel, who was often the driver of the bus I rode to school while attending Weber State University. Hersel was friendly and, to my mind, fabulously beautiful artistically. Just look at that great hair and wonderful beard catching the light.
This backlit image of Hersel has him on the job as he sits in the drivers seat of his bus. He is in his light blue company shirt and has his eyes on the road, keeping his passangers safe as he gets them to where they want to go.
