President Millner really cared for the students of Weber State and was often out among them and involved with them. It was a natural fit for her to desire an out-on-campus portrait rather than an in office setting as is more traditional.

Working with President Millner in making this portrait was a pleasant experience for me, she was considerate in every way.
 
I also get pleasure in knowing she was President of Weber State when I graduated with my BFA from there. It’s my school and she was my University President.

It was a fun challenge to bring a variety of campus elements together to be in this campus scene, many of which became part of the campus during her tenure as President.
