“Hurry, hurry, pour them on the floor, let’s spread them out and sort them by color.” “Here’s, the instructions, lets build this thing.” “Wow this is neat-o.”

Often kids would see a round tube-shaped gift under the Christmas tree and hope, hope, hope, it would be Tinker Toys. I know, I have fond childhood memories of building with Tinker Toys on the hardwood floor. We would build what was shown on the instructions, then after that, invent our own stuff.

This painting has delightful reflections in the floor to go along with the fun colors and shapes of the Tinker Toys. A fun addition to the happy feelings we desire to have in our homes.

I set this up in a home down the street from my studio, they were very gracious. As is my way, I painted the deeper space first and worked my way forward, working each area to near completion as I go.
