Whisk (greeting card)
Whisk | 4”x 9” | Greeting Card
Do you remember being a kid at your grandma’s house, helping her make cookies, cakes or candies? Mostly doing the hard work of licking spoons, bowls and eating hot-out-of-the-oven goodies? Happily, so do I.
I believe this may be where I first heard and laughed about how mean chef’s are... they beat eggs, whip cream and mash potatoes. This old whisk has done its share of whipping-things-up in the process of making yummy things for kids and adults to be happy about.
This is one of 5 paintings of French kitchen implements I did for a cafe at L’Auberge du Lac in Lake Charles, Louisiana. They hang together in a group in the front area of the cafe. It was fun gathering the various items, working out the compositions and doing the paintings. I also provided the desired “secure mounting method” and pattern needed to get proper placement on the wall.
